The ingredients used to flavour dishes at Prego are of the highest quality. The amazing texture and the wonderful taste of the dishes served are a tempting reminder of the fresh produce used. Bulk of the ingredients is exported from Italy. Prego insists on importing ingredients from Italy like superb Parma ham, black truffle, black balsamic vinegar, virgin olive oil, traditional Italian mozzarella and parmesan cheese and over a dozen fresh Italian herbs to truly capture the essence of the traditional flavours in the dishes. 
 
Prego serves a number of exquisite cold dishes among which the ‘prosciutto di parma’ is a must have. Mouthwatering Italian Parma ham, atop rock melon with a side-dish of mesclun salad and beautifully reduced balsamic dressing is an absolute treat for the taste buds. The “prego caesar classico” is a combination of romaine lettuce, poached egg, anchovies and parmesan along with a choice of smoked salmon, chicken or king prawns. The crunchy romaine lettuce with the slightly acidic dressing is a lovely combination. The “calamari fritti con salsa tartara” which combines golden fried calamari rings with tartar sauce is delicious. The classic minestrone soup with basil pesto is another popular dish at Prego. 
 
To start off the mains, do try the scrumptious saffron risotto with prawn and asparagus. The saffron not only adds taste but a beautiful color and aroma to the risotto. If you are in the mood for a rich lasagna that reminds you of home, the delectable “lasagna al forno” is the dish to pick. Lasagna, oven baked to perfection with a sapid beef ragu and a generous amount of parmesan will tingle your taste buds. The delicious and appetising spaghetti Bolognese is another delicious and popular dish amongst Prego’s patrons. 
 
If pizza is what you are looking for Prego has a delicious selection on offer. They have a wide range of oven baked pizzas for meat lovers as well as for vegetarians. Prego’s special “pizza Parma”, a lovely combination of Parma ham and arugula leaves is simply delicious. If you are a vegetarian try out the pizza margherita. It comprises of generous amounts of mozzarella over a thin crust oven baked pizza, topped with fresh tomato basil and sprinkled with oregano.

With nearly a dozen tempting dishes to choose from, it’s a food lover’s dream come true. The Dalian snow dragon rib eye is a delight to your senses. Each bite you take leaves you wanting more. To satisfy your sweet tooth, indulge in a lovely panna cotta with a rich raspberry sauce or a take a bite out of a homemade tiramisu made with mascarpone trifle, espresso and brandy. The lemon and lime sorbet and the mango and passion fruit sorbet are wonderful treats to add that final touch to your meal. 
 
The executive chef at Prego, the Westin Hotel Mr. Alain Lee is an expert in Italian, French and Mediterranean cuisine. Mr. Alain Lee has quite the resume as he has been working for InterContinental Hotels Group, Starwood Hotels for many years. He has worked about 10 years in five different Sofitel brand hotels which belong to the Accor Hotel Group as head chef and French executive chef. During these years, he served three times on the BOAO Forum for Asia. 
 
Prego is open only for dinner from 17.30 to 22.30 pm. The friendly staff provide excellent service. There are many offers at Prego for winter. The star promotion is beef. There is a different promotion each day of the week from Monday to Thursday. Starting from Monday there is a 20% discount on 120-day grain-fed Australian beef rib eye, 120-day grain-fed Australian beef sirloin, Australian grass-fed sirloin and Australian wagyu T-bone till Thursday respectively.
