On Wednesday, 11 December the IST community was treated to an exciting journey around the world through song, dance and speaking performances at the school’s annual Winter Show. A glamorous narrator, a comical stationmaster and a frantic mother in search of her children took us with them on the Colour Express to places such as Mexico, Japan, Ireland and Scandinavia. The concert began with the IST choir singing seasonal songs such as “The Winter Gum” and “White is in the Winter Snow.” Following this, students from the ages of 3 to 12 performed a wide range of pieces that included classics such as “Singing in the Rain”, folksongs such as “I’ll Tell Me Ma” and rock and roll numbers such as “Jail House Rock. Colourful costumes, lights and sounds were combined with great performances to create an uplifting and entertaining show. Needless to say we were very proud of our students too.
