Enjoying an Afternoon Coffee & Snack Sanlitun Style

Imagine a nice, lazy afternoon in Beijing’s trendy Sanlitun commercial district. After several hours of sauntering around the shops and upgrading your wardrobe, it is now time to kick back and enjoy a relaxing coffee; perhaps with a freshly made sandwich to keep hunger at bay. That’s where the award winning Wagas caf茅 comes in handy!

This popular chain of delis, which originated in Shanghai some years back, absolutely guarantees to give you the perfect chill out experience. The location of their Sanlitun venue is perfectly situated in terms of accessibility, convenience and providing an elevated view of the bustling bar street. You will find it on the 3rd floor of the Taigu Li south building (澶彜閲屽崡鍖轰笁灞), right next door to Element Fresh.

The menu at Wagas is extensive to say the least. Admittedly it is also pricier than its mainstream high street competitors, but who cares about scrimping when it comes to de-stressing after a tough working week?! They do an excellent variety of sandwiches, pasta dishes and other western favourites- all of which are served with haste and by English speaking staff. When you’ve finished with the savoury stuff, it’s time to indulge in one of the desserts. Cakes, buns, muffins, cookies, you name it- Wagas has got it.

As for the beverages, coffee is the most popular choice for the venue’s patrons, but you can also choose from the deliciously refreshing smoothie selection or the standard range of soft drink options. Unlike Starbucks and Costa, which seemingly aim to create a living room-like setting, Wagas is well lit with modern d茅cor. It is not just a great place to put your feet up alone it is also perfect for business meetings or casual chill out sessions with family and friends.
