Summer Items to Fall in Love

(1) The Trench

While the style is no fashion mystery and has been around for decades, the spring fashion trends showed us trench coats in every incarnation imaginable—though keeping the silhouette the same. You don’t need to wait for a rainy day to let the trench out of your wardrobe, you can wear it for work, as it looks classic and formal, and you could wear it out for dates, when paired with a killer heel and an embellishment clutch and hiding a glamorous dress under it. The trench is as versatile as you can imagine and nothing gets more desirable than a Burberry trench in these amazing summer colours, enjoy!

(2) Bermudas

Last season was all about tiny shorts. This time we are talking about oversized Bermudas, which are more suitable and easy to wear. With loose-fitting Bermudas, the key to sartorial success is proportion, keep structure on top wearing blouses or shirts, remember that many oversized layers can look messy. The perfect complement is the blazer, make the whole outfit look smart and in the right proportions.

(3) Mini

From Balmain to Isabel Marant and Balenciaga, the hemline reach over the knees, even the most classic designers at Chanel and Dior choose the mini as the basic staple. To balance the proportions, keep the top part demure, wearing long leaves shirt and blazers. You could choose glamorous dresses or hippy chip inspirations. Whatever your preference, the options here should provide plenty of inspiration for the months ahead

(4) The Glam Suit

From Christian Dior to Mulberry, the power suits are spring’s strongest player. Oversized and bold shoulders at Stella McCartney, optical prints and strong colours at Mary Katrantzou, bold red and fuchsia at Jonathan Sounders and Costume National, there is plenty of inspirations to make the strong suit look feminine and sexy. The best accessories are pointy stilettos and red lipstick.

(5) Stripe long dress

Vertical, horizontal and diagonal, there is no way to avoid stripes for spring, and black and white is the match of the season, so it is no surprise that the new glamorous dress is a mixture of both trends; the stripe black and white long dress.

Make it casual with low key fabrics, and luxurious with sequins and silky materials. Keep the whole outfit monochrome with red lipstick, or if you feel adventurous go for colourful accessories, any colour is welcome.

(6) Pencil skirt

Another classic that keeps coming back. Ladylike and demure, sexy and sophisticated, the pencil skirt is fashion gold. This season it takes centre stage in pastel colours, embroidered details and sheer overlays. The pencil skirt brings serious glamour to a casual ensemble, giving the outfit a more grown-up side. Keep things sophisticated with delicate complements, 50’s sunglasses and pastel make up are the perfect choice.

(7) Fluorescent note

Another trend sure to put off minimalists: Neon. Bubblegum pink, loud lemon and bold coral are not only for sporty items, this time around we will see them in sheer fabrics, making the bright effect more subtle; go for sheer blouses, floaty skirts and dresses. For every day wear take an intake in the 90’s trend, wearing a neon slouchy sweater with boyfriend jeans, choose stilettos instead of sneakers to update the trend.
